Chicken Chow Meow - Fall River Style

A fab night of play chez Rossy last night - thanks again for hosting. 2 tables! Big crowd, and crazy cards falling at one table, and chaos theory working on the other made for an interesting evening.

Apologies to notes and names...I didn't get everything so please correct and I will edit this post accordingly!

Pre rebuy to go was Sean at the chaos table. Fireshirt took him down by calling an all-in with straight in hand vs one pair. Board looked like 789-10-6 and Fireshirt held the J-10. Sean had 7Q. But rebuy was soon and all went smooth.

It should be noted that on the first hand of that same table, the pot went to $25 - Chaos vs Dave - Chaos had KK and hit trips sucking in Dave for a big pot. eek.

After the rebuy, next to go was Dave by Fireshirt as well. Dave moved all-in with both a straight and flush draw and Fireshirt with his stack called (it was 2.75)...and his pair of nines held when the river ran dry.

A surprising 10th went to Rico - who didn't catch even the Mumps and eventually with AJ calls a move by Ross with 4s and the fours hit trips...but he was driving ze cockroach so he was stuck.

In 9th, Zeusy, who's trip aces had earlier been nailed by a FH, eventually was wiped by Scott. Zeus with QJ moves all in preflop and is called with 9-10 but Scott hit the 10 and Bam! Bye Zeusy~No shed for YOU!

ONT TABLE! 8 PLAYA'S LEFT. Big stacks - Fireshirt and Scott.

8th to go, but after two breaks, was Chaos Man, who we thought just might break us, but was caught by Fireshirt. Moving after the flop with QJ, Fireshirt with 63 suited had already hit 2 pair and well, hit the flush to rub it in on the river.

7th was Ross, whose hugh stack was demolished in an earlier hand, perhaps someone can enlighten me on it, was taken out by Fireshirt. Ross with KJ and is called by KQ when he moves all-in when the Flop hits J104....But the queen hit on the river.

6th to fall is Mark taken down by Fireshirt as well - AK vs A8..and eight hit. not sure of the timings but I think the all-in was after the entire board was down....it was gutsy~

5th and DAMN IT AGAIN!!!! No $ No points.....
Kodiak.
sigh.
She moves all in with AQ and Brad and Scott mumbles about who is going to call and eventually Scott does with A8. a-ha! BUT THE *#(^#(*%^# 8 hits the river so Kodiak packs her things and waddles on away.

Heather fell about 2 hands later, shortstacked, moves all-in with K10 preflop but dang, Brad calls with AA and to rub it in, hit the trip on the flop.

This infor I have from Fireshirt and Ross but no details to the hands as I was home,

3rd was Brad
2nd was Scott and
#1 was Fireshirt.

Quotes~

Chaos Man, "If I get to the rebuy that's a victory"

Zeus, (overheard) "he went all-in, it only lasted 1 second"

Sean to table, "Chicken Chow Meow" in response to talking Fireshirt's shirt and chinese restaurants.

Kodiak out

A quickie....

I have two recaps to do so this one will be short from the game two weeks passed, chez Kodiak. We had 7 playa's in for the game including the rare appearance of Stu and Mumbles. So a good game was on!

1st out though, was Stu who moved all in with KQ suited. Kodiak calls with A7 suited (she had some chips). And while the KQ hit on the flop, Kodiak hit her flush on the turn.

2nd to go was then Kodiak, of course! It was a big hand. Heather pushes all in after a raise was put out by Mumbles, the big stack man, . Kodiak calls and is called by mumbles after no hesitation. Cards flip, heather shows pocket 10s, Kodiak shows pocket Jacks and mumbles shows AS off suit. Flop hits K77-8-2- so Kodiak is gone...Heather is short, and mumbles, well, dang!

5th to go was Zeusy moving all-in with K3 and called by Heather with K-10. And while a king was donw, the 10 kicker counted.

4th to fly was Rico - no$ but some points. After a flop fell of AA2, and a ck by Mumbles on the flop and the turn, Rico moves all-in but Mumbles held the A so trips took him out.

3rd, and no$ but more points was Kill taken down by Mumbles as well. With K6 suited, he moves all-in to be called by mumbles with AJ. And A hit and while a king came later the pr of aces holds.

Heads Up!

Heather vs Mumbles. Back and forth for a bit with the final hand....With the board looking like 5Q9J and Heather holding 89 and Mumbles checking away, she pushes all-in but damn, he flips the rockets and the Aces hold when the K hits the river.

Quotes, (and I am writing them only b/c they are on the page as Rico and Stu were in charge of quote writing....)

Kill, "If you are reading this, the package was not intened for you" (re: the gummy bears)

Zeus, "If the flop hits, I'm flaccid as a lilly"

Zeus, "Size inconsistency in gummies is disconcerting to the mouth. It befuddled the palette"

Zeus, "As long as you're eatin'"

eeyew.

Oh So, White and Nerdy

West SouthWest side south us play this weekend past chez the Zeus. Without the pregame entertainment of Top Gun, our minds were less controlled and we off to a fun start for 6 little piggies....

Almost a new record was set for the first all-in, all-out move my GI Joe....taken down by trip kings. Once again, our pre 10 play was stiffer than usual....no more limping in....and how could you? There were three hotties at the tables!

We also lost GI Jane pre rebuy but on the last hand at 959. She was taken down by Zeus...her 8 as a high card to fill in a flush was taken by Zeus's queen.

Rebuys were small....The GIs only with partial and Kodiak put in 75c. Had to.

The game, as per usual, moved slower with the Blinds raised but there was enough action for all. GI Jane left us again but this time by Pinky (Next game she may be bluey or greeny or blackie)....The board looked like 5A8Q10 and Gi Jane moved in, but Pinky had Q10 so her two pair were good.

Much later, at about 12, Kodiak fell after much play to Zeus. She was low and was doing her all-in moves, and eventually Zeus was annoyed enough to gamble. He flipped his Q10 offsuit but thin time the girl had something in her bra other than tissues...Her QA was lloking good.....BTW Pinky folded AK after much deliberation.....The board fell hard.....K10K65 so Zeus caught his 10. Of course, Pinky would have had trips and taken a big pot. Kodiak then deals.

So, next to go was Pinky, taken down by Rico with an all-in move by Pinky holding A6....Unfortunately, The BB Rico held KK and they held. No stealing here!

Top three, two paid.

Gi Joe fell next, whittled a bit, and eventually his all-in called by both Rico and Zeus and checked down....Rico's King high won.

Then the heads up battle ensued. A good little match was had and Rico attempted a bluff in the end with a strong board AQJ108...and a flush was possible.....Zeus saw the numbers and called knowing he would still have 1/2 the pot and his top pair (he held AQ) held against Ricos 45.

Some quotes....
Pinky to Zeus "I think you're small"
GI Jane to pinky "You're nothing right now"
GI Jane about GI Joe "I'm not used to waiting around for Joe"
Kodiak about Rico "He's got four inches"
GI Joe about Rico"sounds like chewbacca passing a stone"

and the memories of The Palace also resurface and yes, I am in therapy this week for it....

See you in 2

Another delayed write up....but this time because I am still nearly flopping about......

Another adventure was had almost 2 weeks ago (April 13th).. did I mention it was a Friday? Let me see, once I had triplets on a Friday the thirteenth...curses... We had 8 show up at Kodiak's door, and all late at 831~ to do battle, including the return of Little Dot and Mike the Mouth. Nice to see ya guys!

It started off with the usual bangs, alerting Dot quickly (wait a sec, do these guys actually play now?)...big pots first hand. No more 25c I fold here little boys....

So, pre rebuy we lost one. Rico. All looked good. Rico moved all in at the flop with AQ and a board looking like 78A. GI Jane hesitates but makes the call....and BAM a 2 on the river. KA POW!

But many were down at the rebuy...5 were topping up...so where was all the cash....damn, Kodiak, where did you get those chips? heh heh

After 10, the play was tighter and the battle was on for who could be short stack. I think Mike was 1.5 inches and Rico was 2, but GI Joe was the winner at 1 inch.

So GI Joe fell to The Keeper (heather)...Yes I SAID GI JOE WAS TAKEN OUT BY A GIRL . He held AA to her J8 clubs and she called his all in at the river but she had hit her flushon that same river when the board looked like, 5J963, and the three was the club she needed)....club, clubbing, clubbing Joe. I say!

Then Rico fell to an inch and a preflop move all with A4 was called by Dot woth AK off suit. The board fell slow ....979AK. Game over.

Then GI Jane lost her momentum and was crushed by Mumbles. GI Jane moves all-in on the river holding AK and a board looking like 5833A. Mumbles held A5. two pair, damn.

Where was Kodiak and all her chips. No movement, up or down, no cards so happy at about 75 just catching enough blinds for the rounds.

Then it happened, the big one and the almost Flop in the midle of my own floor hand. Here how it played....Kodiak is up, Mumbles is not too far behind, but behind and Mike Is Low Man (about 2 inches). Preflop, Kodiak raises out of position to $4, Mike reraises to $10, Mumbles calls the $10, Kodiak moves all-in, Mike, short stack, calls his last inch, then does mumbles. Pot size over 100, 2 are all-in and Kodiak has about 25 left. Flip time. Kodiak flips the rockets AA. Say again? AA. Mumbles flips AK off suit, and Mike flips KJ offsuit. looking good. 2 players may soon be gone....hahahahaha......Then Rico the dealer flops the board. 436......turn is a 2.....looking good.....THAN BAM BAM BAM BANG KAPOW BOOM.....a 5 on the river and yes we have a straight on the board2-6 and a &#^$%#*&^%*#&^%*#&^ three way split. Kodiak wins $1. *^#%*&#^%*&#^%*&#^%*&#^%*(#^%*^#*%^

Sigh. &^$#*&^ Sigh.

So onward...and Kodiak is steaming. Mike falls next officially to Mumbles afterall of that mess.....Mike pushes all in after the river fell with a board looking like A9324 and Mike held AA so trips.....but Mumbles had 25 and hit the straight when Mike hit trips.....

4 left. 3 paid.

The Keeper, Dot, Kodiak and Mumbles and almost even.

But Dot fell first...preflop all-in with A-10 called by The Keeper with J-10. Board fell 9KKQ4 so The Keeper hits her straight.

Kodiak has her money back and since no recovery was made, she fell next to Mumbles. She moves all-in pre flop holding JJ. Mumbles flips KQ and of course, he hit his King. Sniff. Sigh. *&#^%*#&^%#

Heads up and a huge pot. Back and forth for a bit then the last hand....

Mumbles moves all-in on the river with 25 clubs and a board looking like K867J (three clubs so he has the flush).....The Keeper calls with over 100, but she had the Tony Phee straight.

Game over.

No quotes that I can find or remember ... too much cursing in my own head. #&^$*#&^$ three way split.

A blizzard of a game....

Five playa's braved the wee bit o snow this past weekend for an extra game at Kodiak's - all in an attempt to dethrone the Zeus. With a late start, awaiting the four wheelers from the East and West sides to show, it still proved to be a good battle. Another heads-up match between sibling pigs, and a good lil pot for the winner.

Non one completely fell by the rebuy at 11, but we had two rebuy a bit - Kodiak and Rico. Nothing too much, but it served their purpose for sure.

There were some big catches and saves, and some small pots but as we have certainly noticed of late, people are actually trying to play this game.

First to fall was the east side, Bacon taken down by the west side, zeus. Zeus held KK vs Bacon's preflop all-in move with KQ. The Kings held and we were all fearing another night of the Zeus.

Especially when the next to go was Kill, also by Zeus. Kill moved all in with KQ suited. Zeus calls in the big blind with A8....and the high card was looking to hold, and then to make it even sadder, an Ace fell on the river.

Three left....and a battle ensued but soon, Zeus was broken, demolished, squished, trampled on, and eventually flopped on the floor.

The real hand that took him out, although he was left with about $4, was vs Rico. Zeus played it well - flopping trips. He had 10-5 and Rico held A2. The flop looked like 10-10-7. Zeus didn't bet big, Rico thought he was good. And Ace on the turn and Rico was feeling secure and made his all-in move. Zeus, naturally called and with trips, its looking good but then WHAM WHAM, and ace on the river.....heh heh...

And about 3-4 hands later, Kodiak pushes all in preflop after Zeus made a raise. HE had collected some blinds and moved a bit up....He flips his "best hand" pocket tens...figuring Kodiak was desperate. The WHAM she flips pocket rockets and Game over Zeusy boy!!

Then it's a heads up rematch for Kodiak and Rico. Last time, she played at about a level 1 out of 10, getting pecked at until she was out. Bleah. This time, she moved to about a 4. While she caught cards and moved "all-in" over and over, she got bluffed a bit and finally was called by Rico with AJ to her suited JQ and though the Jack hit, his kicker kicked her arse. Dang!

Some quotes,

"That's the sound of the worms eating my nuts" Zeus

"Notorious P.I.G." Kill

Antoher game is scheduled for this weekend and it looks like, as long as things hold, we have the return of some long lost playa's coming in - Little Dot and Mike the Mouth. God help us all........

And Kodiak has the cameras prepped.....:>)

One of "THOSE" Nights...

A small game this weekend so a short wrap up - oh yes, and possible because our host had another golden horseshoe up his arse....Personally, I blame it on the surround system showing pre-game that I took in mindlessly, and left after with even less in my mind (is that possible?) - you will see a link below to show you that perhaps, Mr Zeus, was maybe trying to tell us something with his TOP GUN showing.....

Anyhoo, game started a bit late awaiting Stuey whose 96.8% turned into a 1%, 0% - probably for the nest dude but we all did leave by 1045 with lighter wallets and a "what the hell was that" smirk on our faces....just watch where you step in your driveway Mr Zeus 'kersplat'

So, the battle began non chalantly enough....usual small pots, some big ones, but nothing too huge. Poor GI Joe went out pre-rebuy but was smart to only come bacl with ten....as post 10 was ridiculous.

With a7 he took poor GI out again - An all in preflop looked good for our Airboy when the flop hit A25, he holding A2 (Zeus had A7) - Kodiak had started the hand with KQ suited but the Ace made her fold with a $2 bet on the turn. Of course, the 7 came to Zeus on the river....

A-2-6 was the magic cards though - Rico flopped them more than 4 times, once back to back...good lord!

The big hand, taking both Kodiak and Rico out was an All-in move pre-flop by Kodiak with AK offsuit - quickly called by Rico with pocket tens....and called by monster stack Z with, 23 diamond suited. All cards shown and GI Joe started to flip. Well, two diamonds on the flop. Nothing to lep Kodiak - could Rico win? Nope, AN Ace on the turn....Could Kodiak win?? She DID NOT EVEN FLINCH BUT SAID, "here comes the diamond" and PLOP PLOP FIZZ FIZZ----shooting out of the drawers of Z, a 9 of freekin diamonds for a flush....

Good luck fireshirt - fianlly called with an all-in 15 minutes later at 1045 - Firshirt held K diamonds and J Hearts. Zeus held Ace diamonds and a queen of hearts.....and hit the Queen on the turn.

No quotes even as most of the game was censored with a little person watching......

But again, looking for a tell about Z?
Check out the truth behind his TOP GUN......
