Ok Ok-
I goofed a bit but give some slack to the chick who has had 2 girls birthday parties to host in the past two days and a slew of, well, things to do. I guess Stue had suited A6 (as if it makes a difference) and Dot had A3 for the bluff. Of course, the stories are much better the way I remember. heh heh Sorry for the blunders Pauls' 2.

The following commentary has been brought to you by our new favorite player, Mr. Mumbles.

And now, back to Kodiak...

First let me translate for Mr. Mumbles ... "F*** Off". That about does it, yup!

So, another night of fun times at our bi weekly mix ups chez Kodiak...although I hear FR is taking the location back in 2 weeks...oh oh. 10 Playa's showed their faces and gave away their cash for 4 1/2 hours of play (well less time for some...eh?)

All were still in at the rebuy but most of us did rebuy, except chip leader throughout the night, Sir Bacon Bits.

First out was reigning Champ, Joe. He goes all-in after the flop with pocket tens only to have Waugh flip over pocket Aces. bye-bye! (for interest sake, Mr. Mumbles told us that statistically pockets Aces hit about 1 in every 240 hands dealt.....Yo Yo Waugh, did we deal you 960 hands??????)

Next to go was Petey Boy aka Kill. He was taken down by a split pot between Troy and Waugh (each had a ten to hit a FH). Petey went all in with 2 pair. Oops.

Then off and running was Rico suave. A pre flop all in with pocket tens after some action seen, but to be called quick by Bacon with, yup, pocket Aces. And yes, to rub salt into his wound, An Ace hit on the flop. KA BOOM!

Troy got knocked out next, also by bacon bits. He had middle pair after the flop and moved all in but with such a big stack, had to call on a straight draw and his golden (brown highlighted) horseshoe gave him the straight on the river.

Bye Bye to Stuey next who got to hang out in Kodiak's office and on the couch for a bit. Downtown James Brown calls his pre flop all in. Stu had A6 off suit, James had KQ suited. A Q hit and held up.

Side note: we were all short stacked as well and were trying to cockroach our way to 4th for points and 3rd for our cash back, ALL GAME!

But soon after, James lost to Mr Mumbles who we think may have actually gone all in about a dz times at this point but who cuold tell? Anyhoo, After the flop, James held top pair and moved in and Mr Mumbles calls with a flush draw. He hits on the turn.

Top four, whew.

Next to go was Kodiak. She had just doubled up, but played before Bacon all night and his big stack (She like many girls was overwhelmed but such a sight! :>).....Bacon had raised almost all her blinds, and her bets SO went she went all in with A5, he called with an A5 and split. A tease! Next hand and short stacked she held A6 and moved in. Bacon had pocket 4s and too many chips not to call so he did, and they held. WAH!

Top three.

Mr Mumbles was next to go. Wiped out in one hand, he finally moved all in with 6-9 (no choice with the blind limits) and was called by Bacone with 6K. The six hit, but the king kicker kicked Mumbles home. Mmmm!!*(#^%*(#^%

Final Two - Dot and Bacon.
Immediatly, Dot offered a split pot but Bacon wanted to play. So they battled with Troy dealing for about 20 mins. Bacon used his stack well and Dot was catching cards. He moved in with a 9 high flush and was called by Bacons 7 high flush - then one last offer for a split and Bacon agreed. Bacon officially took it with a bigger stack - about 200 to 120 at final count at 130.

The PLAY of the night was DOT though - went for a bluff with 23 offsuit and ended up hitting a straight to someone's 2 pairs. Nice play.

Some Quotes:

Stuey "gave himself a mind melt"
Joe "Stop teasing the mumbleloid"
Bacon "At least Use Lube"
Stu"It's like the time I had the 50c flea market hooker"

A conversation overheard....
Jim " Is there a sock in it?"
Bacon"At least I got it out"
Jim "That's why I don't wear shorts"

A Kimball chat...
Stu (fr somewhere in the Living Room) " Ahhh Winnie the Pooh"
Rico " Down the pants"
Kodiak " No, the batteries are out"

See ya in 2 weeks punks-

GI JOE WINS!

Wow. another fantastic night of poker folly by the gang at firefly. 7 players were in, and there was some rebuying and tops ups so it was worth everyone's while to fight to the end...but in the end, Little Joseph walked away with the pot (but did Nikki get 1/2 the $$ ??)

Game started a tad late at 9 but that was aok as momma kodiak was involved with her usual crazy 8 adventures and a daughter running around outside in her princess nightgown. Thank God for Qs.

First to Fall was Nikki by Joe. WE all think it was a ploy for her rebuy and then to give more to Joe after 1030 so he could bully the rest of us. No matter, whatever works! So Yes, Nikki fell again also by Joe - this time he had the straight flush. Hard to beat....but was it?

Then after some grueling play and bad dealing (look you were dealing to yourself dude) Rico fell to Stu - His all in with QK came up against the big slick with an AK down so adios, Mr Suave. And with a big drive in the a.m., Rico left only 3 hands before lil sis's demise.

She goes all in after the flop with AQ with and Ace down. Flop had hit 2A8. Joe calls. He has A3. Turn hits a 5. Fear the riverrats.....(Stuey had already taken much of my chips by hitting a straight on the river to my trips).....and yes, Joe got the four on the river so bye-bye Kodiak. Damn!

And she was dealing so no one to blame.....well, maybe Stu. Oh, why not?

So next to go was Stuey also by Joseph. Stu's all in draw was lost to trips by Joe. No hit except Stu saying goodbye although he did stick around, waiting on Petey to drive home (glad to see you're better big guy). So three to go. Bubble boy was about to be born.

And it was Dot aka Paul S to go down next (but fight he did...) taken out by Joe. Flop had hit 776 - Dot moves all-in with A6 but is called with pocket nines. 4K didn't help and Joe was now dominating and Dot left. It was after his bedtime he said.

Sidenote - earlier in the night, Dot laid down a hand to an all-in by Petey (Petey liked putting Dot on the spot all night long). The flop had hit 888 and the next two cards weren't big but I can't recall them. Not sure who would have won but I am interested to know and I forgot to ask so if you guys read this, let the girl know! (I think Dot laid down a smaller pocket pair to the board and I think Pete had zippo) . I think Petey had zippo a lot but we were all scared by the man with nis new legs....

So heads up has started and it was a bit of a back and forth but after about 20 minutes Pete lost to Joe. The board was Q 10 9 8 7 - Pete moves all in with pr queens but Joe had the Jack. "Just Jack" so rally on Joe.

No big quotes of the night but we did enjoy Stuey's comment about Dot's crotch...(why does it always go there big bro?) which lead to some fun discussion battles beteewn the battling P's.

Point standings have changed just a tiny bit but you can check that out under points for punks.

Until we meet again, my unworthy opponents...('cept Dot who I would like to go head to head with...payback for those quads man! Oh heck, I just want to make it the top four again......),
