Another delayed write up....but this time because I am still nearly flopping about......
Another adventure was had almost 2 weeks ago (April 13th).. did I mention it was a Friday? Let me see, once I had triplets on a Friday the thirteenth...curses... We had 8 show up at Kodiak's door, and all late at 831~ to do battle, including the return of Little Dot and Mike the Mouth. Nice to see ya guys!
It started off with the usual bangs, alerting Dot quickly (wait a sec, do these guys actually play now?)...big pots first hand. No more 25c I fold here little boys....
So, pre rebuy we lost one. Rico. All looked good. Rico moved all in at the flop with AQ and a board looking like 78A. GI Jane hesitates but makes the call....and BAM a 2 on the river. KA POW!
But many were down at the rebuy...5 were topping up...so where was all the cash....damn, Kodiak, where did you get those chips? heh heh
After 10, the play was tighter and the battle was on for who could be short stack. I think Mike was 1.5 inches and Rico was 2, but GI Joe was the winner at 1 inch.
So GI Joe fell to The Keeper (heather)...Yes I SAID GI JOE WAS TAKEN OUT BY A GIRL . He held AA to her J8 clubs and she called his all in at the river but she had hit her flushon that same river when the board looked like, 5J963, and the three was the club she needed)....club, clubbing, clubbing Joe. I say!
Then Rico fell to an inch and a preflop move all with A4 was called by Dot woth AK off suit. The board fell slow ....979AK. Game over.
Then GI Jane lost her momentum and was crushed by Mumbles. GI Jane moves all-in on the river holding AK and a board looking like 5833A. Mumbles held A5. two pair, damn.
Where was Kodiak and all her chips. No movement, up or down, no cards so happy at about 75 just catching enough blinds for the rounds.
Then it happened, the big one and the almost Flop in the midle of my own floor hand. Here how it played....Kodiak is up, Mumbles is not too far behind, but behind and Mike Is Low Man (about 2 inches). Preflop, Kodiak raises out of position to $4, Mike reraises to $10, Mumbles calls the $10, Kodiak moves all-in, Mike, short stack, calls his last inch, then does mumbles. Pot size over 100, 2 are all-in and Kodiak has about 25 left. Flip time. Kodiak flips the rockets AA. Say again? AA. Mumbles flips AK off suit, and Mike flips KJ offsuit. looking good. 2 players may soon be gone....hahahahaha......Then Rico the dealer flops the board. 436......turn is a 2.....looking good.....THAN BAM BAM BAM BANG KAPOW BOOM.....a 5 on the river and yes we have a straight on the board2-6 and a ^$%#*&^%*#&^%*#&^ three way split. Kodiak wins $1. *^#%*^%*&#^%*^%*&#^%*(#^%*^#*%^
Sigh. &^$#*&^ Sigh.
So onward...and Kodiak is steaming. Mike falls next officially to Mumbles afterall of that mess.....Mike pushes all in after the river fell with a board looking like A9324 and Mike held AA so trips.....but Mumbles had 25 and hit the straight when Mike hit trips.....
4 left. 3 paid.
The Keeper, Dot, Kodiak and Mumbles and almost even.
But Dot fell first...preflop all-in with A-10 called by The Keeper with J-10. Board fell 9KKQ4 so The Keeper hits her straight.
Kodiak has her money back and since no recovery was made, she fell next to Mumbles. She moves all-in pre flop holding JJ. Mumbles flips KQ and of course, he hit his King. Sniff. Sigh. *^%*#&^%#
Heads up and a huge pot. Back and forth for a bit then the last hand....
Mumbles moves all-in on the river with 25 clubs and a board looking like K867J (three clubs so he has the flush).....The Keeper calls with over 100, but she had the Tony Phee straight.
Game over.
No quotes that I can find or remember ... too much cursing in my own head. #&^$*#&^$ three way split.
Kodiak OUT
