Here puppy puppy puppy puppy....

Arf!

Who was that masked dog licking Zeus's netherland regions anyway?

But I digress, and to poker I go.

Not much to say (what, really kodiak?) - all I had to write on was the back of a fall river sobey's receipt so no big lies, er uhm, discussions of the nightly playing. I think we all have too many puppy images burned into our brain anyhoo.

We had 8 playa's show up to James' and Kim's welcoming abode for our bi weekly event. Only one was out pre re-buy. But Ross did stick about and we saw 8 in at 10 with 3 rebuying at some level.

Dealer Rico served up some heavy flops - lots of Aces and diamonds, but unfortunatly, not too many came in his hole cards until one time when he was first to go with AK taken out by Zeusy. I beleive Zeus had KQ and the Q was down and held. Zeus called Rico's all in. gutsy for all.

Then Kim was taken down by Peter (and sorry but my recall on the hands is non existant for most). Ross got the boot by Zeus and 5th place went to Peter taken down by Paul.

Now top four. It was a battle for points and for place #2 for the double up. James and Kodiak knew they were on the chopping block but survived repeated all ins thanks to the river a few times...But James finally got taken out by Zeus. Zeus had K10 to James KK but he hit the straight on the river to win.

Kodiak was down and almost out about a dz times. Every time she got to about $15 she doubled or tripled. The "best" (sorry Stu) was when she went all in with A4 off suit and got called by Stu with AA pre flop. However the board hit a four on the flop and then with her little voodoo chanting help, another 4 on the river. yowsa!

But soon enough Zeus did take her down and she left at 3rd. wink wink STOP IT!

Kodiak and Rico went home but a quick email from James indicated to me that about 1/2 hr later of heads-up play Zeus took the pot and Stuey mentionned to me he had KQ to Zeus' K4. A four was on the flop and another 4 came. hmm, 4's were not good for Stuey.

Lots of laughs had for sure and a big kudos to our hosts once again.

Until next time my foes,
Kodiak out

Kodiak:

Actually, the end went down like this:

After about a half an hour of up and down fencing - some damn good card playing by both myself and Zeusy - I got a hand where I had KQ unsuited. Zeus had about 60% of the chips, and I had about 40%. Zeus just called the blind, and raised $10. Zeus called. There were no face cards on the flop - it was 4, 7 and 8 I think. I decided there probably wasn't going to be a better moment to go all in - I didn't think there would be a better hand, so I went all in. Zeus called. He had the K4! The next two cards were inconsequential - didn't help either of us - and that was that.

You forgot to mention the weirdest hand of the night - Zeus's AA333 full house taking down my 1010333 full house.

Zeus and I were on form all night long. He just got the break at the end, but it could have gone either way.
